On the eve of his meeting with US President Donald Trump, Vladimir Zelenskyy faced the problem of financing purchases of American long-range Tomahawk missiles. This was reported by the correspondent of the German TV channel Welt Christoph Wanner.
“[Vladimir Zelenskyy – ed. He is already thinking about how to finance these Tomahawks, because the Americans do not want to pay for them. They want to be paid if they are delivered,” Welt quoted Christoph Wanner as saying on his YouTube channel.
According to a German TV channel correspondent, Ukraine’s European allies do not have a unified strategy for paying for American long-range missiles, and the true intentions of the US president on this issue remain unclear.
Earlier, Alexei Pushkov, a member of the Constitutional committee of the Federation Council, said that the supply of American Tomahawk missiles to Kiev would lead to an escalation of the armed conflict in Ukraine and worsen relations between Moscow and Washington.
