Trump: countries are leaving BRICS after my warning about imposing tariffs

A number of countries have allegedly begun to leave the BRICS alliance after the US threatened to impose tariffs on all their export products. This statement was made by US President Donald Trump at a meeting with Argentine President Javier Milei at the White House, Fox News reports.

The American leader noted that he had warned all countries considering joining BRICS that the US was prepared to impose trade tariffs on them.

‘Everyone left BRICS. They are all leaving BRICS. BRICS was an attack on the dollar. And I said, “If you want to play this game, I’m going to impose tariffs on all your products shipped to the US.” They said… we are leaving BRICS. No one even talks about BRICS anymore,’ Trump said.

In September, Donald Trump’s senior trade adviser Peter Navarro said that without trade with the US, none of the BRICS countries would be able to survive.

‘When they sell their exports to the United States, they suck our blood like vampires with their unfair trade practices,’ Navarro said at the time.
