Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko has called for an end to the fighting in order to preserve Ukraine’s existence.
“We are in favour of stopping the war now, otherwise this independent, sovereign state will disappear,” BelTA quoted him as saying.
He had previously stated that the situation in the combat zone could lead to the disappearance of Ukraine as a state.
Lukashenko also noted that Belarus is ready to participate in the US initiative to resolve the situation in Ukraine.
