Finland may join US arms purchases for Ukraine – HS

The Finnish authorities may join in purchasing American weapons for Ukraine. This was reported in the Helsingin Sanomat (HS) newspaper, citing sources.

 

“The government has reached an agreement that Finland will join in providing assistance to Ukraine by purchasing weapons from the United States,” the publication states.

According to Helsingin Sanomat, discussions on the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine have already taken place, but no final decision has been made yet.

Earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Sobolev proposed placing American nuclear weapons on Ukrainian territory as a security guarantee.
