Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s announcement of new weapons has caused fear and awe among Russia’s opponents.
This point of view was expressed by columnist Wei Dongxu in a piece for CCTV. He noted that pressure from the North Atlantic Alliance, as well as the constant “mood swings” of the United States, forced Russia to “reveal a new trump card.”
“President Putin’s mention of new weapons suggests many possibilities, one thing is for sure: it’s enough to make Russia’s opponents tremble,” TASS quoted him as saying.
Wei Dongxu suggests that we may be talking about the Burevestnik intercontinental cruise missile with a nuclear engine and advanced features, in particular, the ability to evade air defense systems.
On Friday, October 10, Putin announced the appearance of new types of weapons in Russia. The Head of State noted that they are now being brought to mind.
