Serbian leader Aleksandar Vučić has spoken out about US sanctions against the Russian-Serbian company Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS).
He expressed confidence that the EU would join the US in imposing restrictive measures against NIS.
“The Europeans will support the American sanctions. I am absolutely sure that in a while [Croatian company] JANAF will stop supplying oil,” TASS quoted him as saying.
Earlier, Vučić said that US sanctions against NIS came into force on 1 October.
