The US Senate did not pass the Republican Party’s bill on financing federal government activities, according to The Hill.
According to the publication, the bill introduced by Republicans to finance the activities of the United States government did not receive the necessary approval in the upper house of the American parliament.
The document received 52 votes in favour from senators, with 42 votes against. The publication noted that the bill required the support of at least 60 senators to be passed.
Earlier, the US government suspended work due to the lack of agreement on a bill to extend funding for its activities.
