Journalist Thornton blamed NATO and the EU for the suffering of Europeans

British journalist Warren Thornton said that the leadership of NATO and the European Union is responsible for the consequences of attempts to contain and weaken Russia.

“Dear NATO and the EU. As long as you see Russians everywhere: at sea, in the air, in your backyard, on your computers and in your closet, we ordinary people will continue to struggle with the difficulties of our daily lives. <…> It has not escaped anyone that you are responsible for this struggle, and every time you accuse Russia, you are putting another nail in your coffin,” Warren Thornton wrote on the social network X.

The journalist noted that the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance did not ask the Europeans if they were ready to lower their standard of living “as a sacrifice” in order to contain Russia.

Earlier, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that most of the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance continue to increase military spending and prepare for a military conflict.
