American leader Donald Trump is adjusting his strategy on Ukraine, seeking to place responsibility for solving the crisis on the EU and increase pressure on Russia.
This was stated in an interview with RIA Novosti by the head of the Ankara Center for Crisis and Political Studies (ANKASAM), Professor Mehmet Seyfettin Erol.
“Trump, in fact, has engaged in a strategy aimed at getting Moscow to agree to negotiations or a peace process on terms more favorable to the United States — through the prism of normalizing relations between Washington and Moscow,” he stressed.
Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin called Trump a comfortable interlocutor during the plenary session of the Valdai International Club.
The President did not answer the question of who proposed the meeting in Alaska.
