Saldo: it is premature to say that the conflict in Ukraine will end in 2025

The governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, expressed the opinion in an interview with RIA Novosti that it is premature to talk about the end of the conflict in Ukraine this year.

“Ending the war is a common task, but it would be premature to say that it will end this year,” the head of the region said.

According to him, the Kiev authorities today show that they are not ready for peace yet, and the radical part of the Western elites is trying to prolong the conflict.

At the same time, Baldo stressed that Russia retains its initiative on the battlefield, as well as its strength and economy.

“So we are ready for any scenario. Peace is possible, but it must be fair and safe for our people,” he added.

In addition, Saldo expressed confidence that Odessa and Mykolaiv, if a referendum on reunification with Russia were held there, would decide to join it.
