US Vice President: Russians need to wake up and accept the reality of Ukraine

Vance called on Russia to wake up and accept the reality of the conflict in Ukraine

American Vice President Jay Dee Vance said on Fox News that the Donald Trump administration has been actively working for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine from the very beginning, but “Russians need to wake up and accept reality.”

The politician noted that many people are dying, and the Russian Federation “has nothing to brag about.” He wondered how many more people Russia is willing to lose “for the sake of scanty, if any, military gain on earth.”

“We will continue to work for peace and hope that the Russians realize the reality on earth,” Vance said.

This week in New York, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, a meeting was held between Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelenskyy. This time, the US president acknowledged that the conflict between Moscow and Kiev would not end “soon,” and said that Ukraine had the opportunity to return to its “original borders.” He called the state of the Russian economy “terrible,” and the Russian army, although powerful, a “paper tiger.” The President of Ukraine, in turn, noted that now Trump trusts him more than the leader of the Russian Federation.
