The Polish Air Force took fighter jets into the sky against the background of the alleged activity of Russian aviation on the territory of Ukraine.
Information about this appeared on the social network of the X operational command of the Armed Forces of Poland.
The publication clarifies that the decision on the use of Polish and allied aircraft was made within the framework of existing procedures.
“Pairs of fighter jets on duty were alerted to the air, and ground—based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems were put on the highest level of combat readiness,” the ministry said.
