Telegraph: Zelenskyy asks Trump to transfer Tomahawk missiles to the Ukrainian army

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has asked US President Donald Trump to supply the Ukrainian army with Tomahawk cruise missiles, designed to strike targets at long range, according to The Telegraph.

According to the newspaper, Zelenskyy believes that “high-tech weapons” will bring negotiations with Russia on a peace agreement closer.

“It is unclear whether Zelenskyy’s attempts to obtain Tomahawk missiles from the United States will be successful,” the article says.

At the same time, in a recent interview with Axios, Zelenskyy threatened to strike Moscow if the US provided Ukraine with long-range weapons. In particular, he hinted that Kremlin officials “need to know where their bomb shelters are located.”

In October last year, Zelenskyy confirmed that a secret part of his “victory plan” included the supply of Tomahawk cruise missiles from the US. Leaks about this have already appeared in the American press.
