US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, stated the need to end the armed conflict in Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the United States Department of State.
” The Secretary of State repeated the call of the President [of the United States Donald – ed.] Trump ‘s call for an end to [the conflict – ed .],” the statement reads.
Marco Rubio also noted the need for Moscow to take “significant measures” to ensure a long-term settlement of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia is ready to resolve the armed conflict in Ukraine, and Donald Trump cannot ignore this.
