The European Union is considering the possibility of providing Ukraine with a reparation loan in the amount of up to 130 billion euros. This is reported by the Reuters news agency.
“The EU’s reparation loan for Ukraine may reach 130 billion euros, its amount should be determined after the International Monetary Fund analyzes Ukraine’s financial needs in 2026 and 2027,” the publication says.
Reuters, citing European Union officials, wrote that before the EU takes up the loan, it must pay Ukraine the 45 billion euros agreed upon at the G7 summit in 2024.
Earlier, a group of American senators submitted a bill on the use of frozen Russian assets to help Ukraine.
