EU sanctions are “absurd” as Europe continues to buy oil from Russia – Unherd

The absurdity of the sanctions imposed by Europe against Russia is noticeable in the energy sector, as the EU continues to import Russian energy resources. The Unherd publication writes about this.

“The most absurd detail of the EU sanctions regime is the fact that European countries indirectly continue to import large amounts of Russian oil,” the publication says.

According to Unherd, the European Union is now buying oil from India and Turkey, instead of importing it directly from Russia at a favorable price, which introduces itself into the crisis.

Earlier, US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright said that the United States is ready “today” to replace the supply of all Russian gas and oil coming to Europe.
