Tokayev and Zelenskyy met in the United States to discuss the Ukrainian settlement

Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, where they discussed cooperation and the settlement of the armed conflict in Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Kazakh leader.

 

“The heads of state discussed issues of bilateral economic and humanitarian cooperation,” the publication states.

According to the press service, Volodymyr Zelenskyy “presented his view” on the current situation in Ukraine. In turn, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that in the current situation, it is necessary to continue diplomatic work to find ways to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.

Commenting on the talks, Zelenskyy wrote on his Telegram channel that the parties discussed “the efforts of Ukraine, the United States, Europe and other partners in the world” to end the armed conflict and the possible participation of Kazakh companies in its restoration.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy rejected the “Korean scenario” for resolving the armed conflict in Ukraine, saying that, in his opinion, there “may not be” a final peace treaty.
