Germany’s new military spending plan stipulates that only 8% of the budget will be spent on weapons from the United States, with the remainder going to European manufacturers, – Politico

According to the publication, Germany plans to make 154 major defence purchases totalling €83 billion between September 2025 and December 2026.

Of this amount, only €6.8 billion, or 8% of the total cost, will go towards the purchase of American weapons.

Most of the purchases from the US will be air defence launchers and missiles for them. The rest of the funds will go to European manufacturers.
