Trump said the United States is grieving over Kirk’s murder.

US President Donald Trump, speaking at the farewell ceremony for Charlie Kirk, said that the United States is grieving over the murder of an American activist.

At the same time, the head of the White House promised the activist’s widow Erica and her children that the United States would honor Charlie Kirk as a great hero of his fatherland.

“We are a nation in sorrow, shock and sadness. One of the smartest people of our time has been stolen from our country. A giant of his generation. And most importantly, he is a devoted husband, father, Christian and patriot. Charlie Kirk was killed by a radicalized, cold—blooded monster,” Trump said.

Earlier, the wife of the murdered Charlie Kirk said she forgives her husband’s killer.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, speaking at the farewell ceremony for Kirk, said that the American activist did not isolate himself from people with whom he disagreed on certain issues.
