Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country would respond to the unilateral recognition of Palestinian statehood by a number of countries, but would do so only after the end of the current session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
CNN writes about this.
“I have a clear message for those leaders who recognized the Palestinian state after the horrific massacre on October 7.: you are presenting terrorism with a huge reward,” Netanyahu said in a statement.
On September 21, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced London’s recognition of the State of Palestine. He was joined by the authorities of Australia, Canada and Portugal.
Earlier, the Palestinian Hamas movement called on the international community to isolate Israel.
The organization also welcomed the decisions of London, Ottawa and Canberra.
