Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated his categorical rejection of the idea of creating a Palestinian state.
Benjamin Netanyahu reacted to the decision of a number of countries to recognize Palestinian statehood. The Israeli Prime Minister’s words were quoted by Dmitry Gendelman, adviser to the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel, in his Telegram channel.
“There will be no Palestinian state west of the Jordan River. For years, I resisted enormous pressure, both internal and external <…> We acted firmly and reasonably. Moreover, we have doubled Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria, and we will continue this path,” Netanyahu said.
Earlier, Canada, Britain and Australia recognized the statehood of Palestine.
