Bloomberg: Macron disagreed with Trump’s opinion over oil imports from Russia

French President Emmanuel Macron argued in absentia with the position of the American leader Donald Trump regarding the import of Russian energy resources to Europe.

According to Bloomberg, trying to challenge the calls of the head of the White House for the EU to reduce dependence on Russian energy resources, the French leader called the remaining imports “very insignificant.”

The article says that Macron tried to justify himself by mentioning that Russian energy imports had decreased by 80%.

In an interview with the American television channel CBS News, the French president said earlier that Europe was working to stop purchases of Russian energy resources.
