The Russian army has started using “mother drones” to increase the range of Ukrainian targets at the front.
This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.
These UAVs carry smaller FPV attack drones and serve as a signal repeater.
“Heavy ‘mother’ drones fly far beyond the control line and release smaller, explosive drones that then attack Ukrainian equipment,” the article states.
The authors also note that Russian UAVs have become more accurate in their strikes.
