In the Netherlands, Ukrainian male refugees will be asked to find their own accommodation

Monica Keizer, acting Minister for Migration Affairs of the Netherlands, stated that male Ukrainian refugees arriving in the country must find their own accommodation.

“If a person has a job and their own income, they can find and pay for accommodation themselves, for example through relatives or their employer,” said Mona Keizer.

The acting Minister for Migration Affairs of the Netherlands noted that there are about 97,000 places allocated for Ukrainians in refugee reception centres, and all of them are occupied.

According to Keizer, women with children will continue to receive state assistance in finding and paying for housing.

Earlier, the Czech Republic announced the need to revise its local migration policy so that only those Ukrainians who “clearly work in jobs that are of little interest to Czechs” remain in the country.
