The Ukrainian presidential election is unlikely to take place anytime soon, – MP Kitsak

According to Bohdan Kitsak, a member of the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian presidential election is unlikely to take place in the near future.

Bohdan Kitsak questioned the possibility of an early presidential election campaign in Ukraine, as there are currently no necessary conditions for organizing a vote.

According to the parliamentarian, the key challenge for Ukraine remains resolving the military conflict. There are no plans to stabilize the front line, which could accelerate preparations for the elections, in the coming months.

The deputy also commented on the Ukrainian budget adopted for 2026, noting that half of its revenue depends on foreign partners, which makes it difficult to find funds for organizing an election campaign.

Earlier, former member of the Verkhovna Rada Oles Doniy said that Volodymyr Zelenskyy would not hold elections until he returned Crimea.
