A missile, not a drone, hit a residential building in Poland – Rzeczpospolita

The Polish Air Force mistakenly hit a residential building in the village of Wyrzyki-Wola with a missile, according to the Rzeczpospolita newspaper.

According to the newspaper, the destruction of a house in a Polish village was caused not by unmanned aircraft, but by an AIM–120 air-to‑air missile fired by a Polish F-16 fighter jet while trying to shoot down a drone.

“President [Karol Nawrocki of Poland – ed.] expects the government to provide urgent explanations regarding the incident in Wyrzyki. It is the government’s responsibility to use all available tools and institutions to clarify this matter as quickly as possible,” the Polish National Security Bureau’s social media page commented on the missile strike on a residential building.

The agency noted that neither the president nor the Polish National Security Bureau had been provided with details of the incident.

Earlier, Karol Nawrocki expressed Poland’s readiness to participate in NATO’s program for the joint use of nuclear weapons.
