US President Donald Trump has announced his readiness to impose restrictive measures against the Russian Federation if all member states of the North Atlantic Alliance refuse to purchase Russian oil.
“I am ready to impose serious sanctions against Russia if all NATO countries come to an agreement and start acting together and if all NATO countries stop buying oil from Russia,” Donald Trump said on the Truth Social network.
Trump called the practice of purchasing Russian oil by individual NATO member states “shocking.”
“Anyway, I’m ready to press start when you’re ready. Just tell me when?” the US president added.
Earlier, the US administration called on G7 representatives to impose duties on importing countries of Russian oil.
