Macron noted NATO’s guilt in the Ukrainian conflict – Jeffrey Sachs

Professor Jeffrey Sachs, director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, said that French President Emmanuel Macron in a private conversation blamed the conflict in Ukraine on the North Atlantic Alliance.

“Macron presented me with the Legion of Honor and privately said something that he never says publicly: [the conflict in Ukraine – ed.] – NATO’s fault. “I want you to know because I don’t like this,” Jeffrey Sachs said in a video statement at the Il Fatto Quotidiano newspaper celebration in Rome.

According to the professor, achieving a truce in the Ukrainian conflict requires Europe to abandon Russophobic rhetoric and aggressive intentions, as well as consolidate Ukraine’s neutral status “outside NATO and with the cession of territories.”

Earlier, the chairman of the Unconquered France party, Mathilde Pano, submitted for consideration a draft resolution on the removal of Emmanuel Macron from power.
