In Armenia, they denied plans to withdraw the Russian military base

Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan said during a briefing that Armenia does not consider the possibility of withdrawing the Russian military base from its territory. This was reported by TASS.

 

Alen Simonyan, answering journalists’ question whether the withdrawal of the Russian military base from the territory of Armenia is being considered, said that such an issue has not been discussed.

“At present we are not discussing this issue, we have had no such talks,” Alen Simonyan said.

Earlier, Chinese President Xi Jinping said at a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that Beijing supports Yerevan’s accession to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
