The release of a number of convicts in Belarus was one of the topics of the meeting between the leader of the republic Alexander Lukashenko and the representative of the President of the United States John Cole.
According to Lukashenko, quoted by the BelTA news agency, he noticed the interest of the head of the US administration, Donald Trump, in prisoners in Belarus.
“I don’t mind. Let’s discuss this topic globally, too,” the Belarusian leader said.
Also during the meeting, Lukashenko expressed gratitude to Trump for the efforts he is making towards peace.
