In June, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) allocated $2 million for a program to strengthen the cybersecurity of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.
This is evidenced by calculations by RIA Novosti based on contract documents from the US government. It is noted that the relevant measures were taken despite the general policy of the administration of US President Donald Trump to reduce foreign aid.
According to the agency, the total cost of the program is $125 million. It began in May 2020 and is scheduled to end in March 2026.
By February 2022, the project received about $18 million, and after the escalation of the conflict, Ukraine received more than $100 million.
At the same time, at the end of August, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that USAID was officially closing.
In addition, Aviation Week previously reported that the United States will supply Ukraine with ten ERAM missiles in October.
