Bild: NATO spent 400,000 euros worth of missiles each to destroy drones in Poland

To destroy the drones that flew into Polish airspace, NATO took off two F-35 fighter jets using AIM-9 missiles. The launch of each such rocket costs about 400 thousand euros.

The German tabloid Bild writes about this.

“In the long term, using the F-35 against drones makes no military sense,” a senior NATO officer told the newspaper.

The cost of destroying three relatively inexpensive drones can reach € 1.2 million if one such missile was spent on each of them.

On the morning of September 10, the operational command of the Polish army announced the elimination of several UAVs that had invaded the country’s airspace.

The Russian Defense Ministry noted that the maximum range of the drones used, which allegedly crossed the border with Poland, does not exceed 700 km.

They declared their readiness for consultations with the Polish side.
