Member of the US House of Representatives Marjorie Taylor Green said she had introduced an amendment to remove from the defence budget $600 million that Washington planned to allocate to Ukraine in 2026.
According to Marjorie Taylor Green, that US taxpayers have already paid more than $175 billion for the armed conflict in Ukraine, and the United States national debt has exceeded $37 trillion.
“We cannot afford to fund foreign [conflicts – ed.] and the defence of countries we have no obligation to defend. Ukraine is not a member of NATO. I have never voted in favour of helping Kiev,” Green said in a video message posted on social network X.
Earlier Marjorie Taylor Green said that the United States, funding Ukraine, goes against the will of the American people.
