The majority of Moldovans are against joining NATO

According to an opinion poll published by the Moldovan data collection and analysis company Date Inteligente (iData), 67.3% of Moldovans are against joining NATO and uniting with Romania.

According to iData, 23.4% of respondents voted for Moldova’s accession to the North Atlantic Alliance, 67.3% of respondents voted against. At the same time, 9.3% of Moldovans could not decide on the answer.

The idea of joining Romania was supported by 32.4% of respondents, opposed by 60.6%, and 7% of respondents were undecided.

1,059 people from 87 localities of Moldova took part in the survey.

Earlier, a rally of the Pobeda opposition bloc against the current government was held in the capital of Moldova.
