EU leaders to visit U.S. to discuss Ukraine deal – Reuters

US President Donald Trump announced that European Union leaders will visit Washington this week to discuss a settlement in Ukraine, Reuters reports.

“We are having very interesting discussions. Certain European leaders will arrive in our country on Monday and Tuesday [September 8 and 9, 2025 – ed. separately,” Donald Trump said, answering questions from reporters at the Andrews military base near Washington.

According to the US president, the upcoming negotiations will contribute to the early end of the armed conflict in Ukraine.

Trump also announced a conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in the “near future,” according to the publication.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal wrote that politicians and the European Parliament are unhappy with the trade deal between the United States and the European Union.
