WSJ: The United States participated in the development of a plan for the deployment of European troops in Ukraine

The heads of the armies of European countries have developed, with the participation of American generals, a detailed plan for the deployment of more than 10,000 troops in Ukraine.

According to The Wall Street Journal, citing a European diplomat, according to the document, one group of military personnel will have to train and assist the Ukrainian army, while the other is designed to “prevent a possible Russian invasion.”

At the same time, the air force based outside the country will patrol the airspace over Ukraine.

British Deputy Defense Minister Luke Pollard said earlier that the country was considering the possibility of deploying troops to Ukraine if a peaceful settlement was reached.

In addition, Ireland expressed its readiness to participate in the peacekeeping mission in Ukraine.
