NATO countries, speaking about security guarantees for Ukraine, want to persuade the United States to put more pressure on Russia. This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
“If we are talking about security guarantees [to Ukraine] that European states should provide, then there are specific things here, very specific data regarding the number of soldiers, equipment, who should do what. Everyone really wanted the Americans to see, first of all, that if Europe promises something, it delivers. In order to persuade the American partners to put more pressure on [Russian President Vladimir– Putin.] Putin,” Donald Tusk said after a meeting of the leaders of the coalition of Willing countries in Paris. The Polish prime minister did not disclose the details of the conversation between the participants of the Paris meeting and US President Donald Trump.
Earlier, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that the countries participating in the coalition of the willing had expressed their readiness to start supplying Ukraine with long-range missiles.
