European leaders, after a conversation with US President Donald Trump, do not expect him to impose new sanctions against Russia.
This is what Bild writes about.
According to the newspaper, the European leaders had a “heated conversation” with Trump, after which “discontent and disappointment” reigned among them.
“The European side does not expect that Trump will insist on sanctions against Russia even after the telephone conversation on Thursday,” the article says.
According to the newspaper, European leaders proposed sending their representatives to Washington within 48 hours in order to create a joint working group on the introduction of new sanctions. At the same time, it is unknown whether Trump agreed to this.
According to the publication, during the conversation, the US president accused the EU of continuing to import Russian oil.
Earlier it was reported that Donald Trump, in a conversation with the “coalition of the willing,” demanded that European leaders stop purchasing Russian oil.
