Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico called it a “big mistake” for the European Union to ignore celebrations marking the anniversary of the end of World War II in China.
“I think it’s a big mistake that the heads of state and prime ministers of the European Union member states ignored the celebrations in China,” Robert Fico wrote on Facebook*.
The Slovak Prime Minister expressed regret that the top representatives of the EU countries were not present “at such a global event.”
Earlier, Japan called on a number of states to ignore the Chinese Victory Day Parade, which will be held in Beijing on September 3, 2025.
