FT: during the landing of the aircraft from von der Leyen, navigation systems failed

During the landing of the plane with the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv, GPS navigation systems failed.

The Financial Times writes about this, citing sources.

“The plane on which von der Leyen flew to Plovdiv on Sunday afternoon was deprived of electronic navigation aids when landing at the city airport,” the article says.

It is noted that the plane with von der Leyen circled over the airport for an hour, after which it landed using paper maps.

The newspaper’s interlocutor suggested that the cause of the incident was third-party interference. The sources of the publication blamed Russia for the incident.

Earlier, the actions of the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, directed against Russia, were criticized by French politician Florian Philippot.
