The United States Department of State has approved the possible provision of spare parts to Ukraine to maintain the combat capability of the Patriot air defence missile system worth almost 180m dollars. This was reported by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), which is part of the Pentagon.
“The State Department has decided to approve the possible sale to the government of Ukraine of spare parts for the Patriot air defence [air defence – ed.] system and related equipment worth $179.1 million,” the statement said.
The DSCA noted that, in addition to equipment for Patriot systems, Kiev will also be supplied satellite communication services for Starlink terminals worth $150 million.
We shall remind you that earlier the Financial Times wrote that the United States will soon announce a new plan to provide security guarantees for Ukraine.
