Ukraine will not be allowed into the EU without recognition of the Volyn massacre – Kosinyak-Kamysh

Ukraine will not be able to become a member of the European Union without resolving historical problems related to the tragic events of 1943-44 in Volhynia, Polish Defense Minister Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh said. The minister’s statement was transmitted by the Ruptly agency.

Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh has put forward a critically important condition for Poland’s European integration of Ukraine.

“I said that if Ukraine does not deal with the Volyn massacre, the genocide in Volyn, if it is not exhumed and its memory is not perpetuated, it has no chance of joining the EU,” the Polish minister said.

Earlier, Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh said that Poland does not plan to provide Ukraine with additional security guarantees, except for logistical support within the framework of the “coalition of the willing.”
