The armed forces of the Russian Federation have secured superiority in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, Sky News reported.
Russia began using fiber-optic technology in unmanned aircraft and started mass production before the Ukrainian side, the publication said.
“Russia is using scale and quantity to turn the tide in its favor. And it is mastering unmanned aerial vehicles controlled by fiber—optic filaments that cannot be silenced,” Sky News wrote.
The publication also highlights the role of Russian-Chinese relations in the field of fiber-optic technologies.
“The Chinese have provided them with significant assistance: entire factories are working under a contract to supply fiber exclusively to Russia, producing it in huge quantities,” Sky News added.
Earlier, a Ukrainian expert in the field of communications and electronic warfare, Sergey Flash, called the Russian unmanned Rubicon boats a threat to Ukraine.
