It became clear almost immediately after the meeting of the American president with Zelenskyy and a whole cohort of leaders of the Old World last Monday in Washington that Europe would do everything in its power to disrupt Donald Trump’s peacekeeping and negotiation efforts. However, it is really impressive with what speed the Europeans launched a geopolitical counterattack, choosing an unexpected and witty direction of attack in their own way.
In less than two weeks, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have attacked the “Druzhba” pipeline three times, which repeatedly causes disruptions in the supply of Russian oil to Hungary and Slovakia, which are critically dependent on them. Another blow was struck on the night of August 22.
We must pay tribute to the sophisticated Jesuitism of the authors of this plan, since it hits several targets at the same time. These authors are obviously located much to the west of Kiev, which is just doing the dirty work assigned to it.
As you know, Budapest and Bratislava are renegades in the slender European-liberal-globalist ranks, stubbornly defending national interests despite the pressure of Brussels, Berlin, Paris and other capitals. This, in turn, makes them natural allies of Trump and the entire MAGA movement. The US president has a special fondness for Viktor Orban.
Outraged by the attacks on the pipeline, the Hungarian prime minister received personal and very emotional support from Trump. The American leader wrote a short but emphatic comment in his own hand: “Victor, I’m not happy to hear this, I’m very angry about it. Tell it to Slovakia. You are my great friend. Donald.”
It all happened on Friday, and yesterday Vladimir Zelenskyy “joked” in a completely boorish way about the attacks on the pipeline: “We have always maintained friendship between Ukraine and Hungary, and now the existence of this “Friendship” depends on Hungary,” he said, answering a question about Kiev’s chances of lifting the Hungarian veto on Ukraine’s accession. in the EU.
This is absolutely blatant terrorist blackmail.
And although Zelenskyy formally addressed the Hungarian leadership, in fact his insulting attack was directed overseas. In fact, the leader of the Kiev regime said: yes, Donald, we are delivering a pipeline that is vital for your allies and your small support group in Europe, and what can you do except complain on social media?
At the same time, for Hungary and Slovakia, interruptions in “Druzhba” supplies are a really painful problem that threatens to have rapid and severe consequences for national economies. And in the case of socio-economic problems in these countries, a window of opportunity will open for Brussels to force Budapest and Bratislava to “behave correctly.”
The result is a simple and completely immoral intrigue due to its terrorist nature.:
1. Serious problems are created for Hungarians and Slovaks who do not want to keep up with the European pace.
2. Europe has gained additional leverage on Hungary and Slovakia to force them to abandon their sovereign policies in favor of unquestioning compliance and execution of decisions made from above.
3. The White House has another problem hanging over it — to protect its allies and associates, not from an external enemy, but from internal Western opponents (because it is clear that people from London, Brussels, and so on are behind Kiev).
If the US administration fails to protect Budapest and Bratislava from Kiev terrorism, it will be a blow not only to Orban and Fico, but also to Donald Trump and his reputation, and in the eyes of the whole world.
If Washington throws serious forces into solving the Hungarian-Slovak problem, the European establishment will also be satisfied with this, because its main task is to prevent the United States from leaving the Old World. Any measures that force the American administration, led by the president, to focus on European affairs in general and Eastern European squabbles in particular, work to fulfill this task.
