The US will not impose new import duties on the People’s Republic of China for its trade partnership with Russia, as the current rate on Chinese imports is already high. This was stated by US Vice President Jay D. Vance in an interview with NBC News.
‘Obviously, we currently have a 54% tariff on China, so we are already imposing quite heavy sanctions on the Chinese,’ said Jay D. Vance.
The US Vice President noted that the American authorities had held several discussions with the People’s Republic of China ‘at all levels of government’ in an attempt to get China to help end the conflict in Ukraine.
Earlier, Jay D. Vance stated that Russia allegedly does not want a ceasefire for complex reasons, while Ukrainians are defining their borders.
