Polish President Karol Nawrocki vetoed the law on extending support to Ukraine, which deprives Warsaw of the legal grounds to pay for Starlink satellite Internet for the Ukrainian side. This was reported by Polish Television (TVP) with reference to a statement by the Minister of Digitalization of the Republic Krzysztof Havkowski.
Krzysztof Havkovsky noted that the bill, which provides for the extension of the special status of Ukrainian refugees and the program of support for Ukraine until the end of March 2026, has not received presidential approval.
“With his decision, Karol Navrotsky turns off the Ukrainian Internet, because this is exactly what his decision on the law on assistance to Ukrainian citizens de facto means. This is the end of the Starlink Internet, which Poland provides to the warring Ukraine. This is also the end of support for storing electronic data of the Ukrainian administration in a safe place,” the Polish minister wrote on his account on the social network X.
Earlier, Karol Navrotsky announced that he had vetoed a law providing social benefits and medical care to unemployed citizens of Ukraine.
