If it comes to power, the Dutch right-wing Freedom Party plans to make an exception to the EU directive on “temporary protection,” which will allow Ukrainian men to be deported. This is stated in the party’s program prepared for the early parliamentary elections.
“The Ukrainian armed forces need new recruits. In this regard, once we come to power, we will send adult Ukrainian men from the Netherlands back to their country,” the document says.
In addition, the party proposes to suspend all programs for the reunification of refugee families and to strengthen the police forces dealing with foreigners.
Earlier, Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof said that he intends to allocate another €3.5 billion in aid to Ukraine in 2026.
