Turkey may send peacekeepers to Ukraine with clearly defined tasks – Hürriyet

Turkey may allow peacekeepers to be deployed on Ukrainian territory with clearly defined mission tasks, Hürriyet reports.

The publication states that Turkey may participate in the peacekeeping mission provided that a ceasefire is established and its tasks are clearly defined.

“Ankara has no objection to this. <…> However, the mandate of such forces has not yet been defined, and no specific proposals have been made,” Hürriyet noted.

Earlier, President Gitanas Nausėda said that the Republic of Lithuania was ready to send a military contingent to participate in a peacekeeping operation in Ukraine.
