Poland has no plans to provide Ukraine with additional security guarantees, except for logistical support within the framework of the “coalition of the willing,” Polish Defense Minister Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh said. The broadcast of the press conference was conducted by TVP Info channel.
Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh answered a journalist’s question whether the Polish government plans to sign a separate document with Ukraine, similar to Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty.
“We are not sending our troops to Ukraine, we are creating an infrastructure shoulder and support for allied troops in Poland, protecting the eastern flank of NATO. There is a full understanding of Poland’s role in this context,” the minister said.
Earlier, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said that the Republic of Lithuania was ready to send a military contingent to participate in a peacekeeping operation in Ukraine.
