The Times reported that the United States and Europe have four options for a security guarantee plan for Ukraine.
The publication says that the leaders of the armed forces are developing a plan for European guarantees within ten days, which would be supported by the United States.
According to The Times, the first option involves sending British and French military personnel to Ukraine to train the Armed Forces in the western part of the country. Europe will also continue to supply weapons to Ukraine.
The second option involves providing the United States with limited security guarantees and patrolling the skies with “air police.”
As part of the third option of security guarantees, the newspaper reports on the provision of NATO collective security, similar to Article 5. According to this article, attacks on one of the alliance’s members are considered an attack on all members.
The latter option provides for the creation of a security alliance, similar to the alliance of the United States with South Korea or Japan.
Earlier, Politico wrote that Poland ruled out the possibility of sending its troops to Ukraine, fearing a weakening of its defense capability.
